Hmm, what to say

Well, I'm not exactly sure yet what I want to do with this journal. I am not used to having a basic account (the horror! haha) after having a permanent account for so long. I had a time finding a good theme for a basic account that would allow the use of tags and also looked nice. See, unless I'm blind, I cannot find a very useful way to search older LJ entries. I've tried multiple ways including using lj seek or whatever it is called and other various LJ search engines, and also my most loverly Google and limiting it to a particular site search. None of these methods really work all that great for very large journals. This is one area that blogger excels over LJ. Thus, I want to use tags for all my entries and tag major themes for each one. Then, just maybe, it will be easier for me to find older entries I've made without having to guess when exactly I made a certain post.

And so I chose this nice colored theme that complements the color of my user icon, has the use of tags and quite appropriately is a writer's block theme.

I have varied interests in many creative subjects: art (see my art journal aprilart , chainmail, various crafts, spinning yarn, and much more. Some I don't do anymore, or do well anymore, as a result of my rheumatoid arthritis that I've had for nearly 20 years now. I love chainmail, but it hurts to open and close all those little rings.

I have tried having separate blogs on various platforms for my various interests. And so for now I considering what exactly to put here on this blog. Maybe it will be crafts? Maybe it will simply be a private journal for myself? Or perhaps no journal at all and only use this as a portal to post on other crafty type blogs without having to mix that all in with my art blog.

You know, as I type this I wonder just what exactly happened to all that fancy learning on proper punctuation I had in college. I never cared much for all the nit picky details, but now I regret not remembering as well as I used to all the rules. And my class on technical writing for scientists didn't really prepare me for writing personal journals and reflections. I do wish I had taken a creative writing class for fun while in college as I think it would be very useful to learn an alternate writing style so as to break out of the technical mind frame I typically find myself in when I write.

I think I am over tired. I am blathering on and on. The short story is I'm not sure yet where I want to take this journal.
